General Manager
Rose Emily Hamalia Jacques
- September 2025 to ...
Rose Emily Hamalia Jacques has held the position of Executive Director of Vox Québec since September 2025. In this role, she manages the organization's day-to-day operations: administrative and intern supervision, project coordination, file management, organizing volunteer meetings, and maintaining databases and internal tools. She is also responsible for fundraising, preparing financial reports, and maintaining relationships with certain partners.
Before joining Vox Québec, she held positions with several management responsibilities. At the Greater Montreal Legal Clinic, she coordinated daily operations, supervised the team (student volunteers and volunteer lawyers), and ensured compliance with internal policies and work procedures. She also participated in partner relations and activity planning.
Between 2021 and 2024, she worked as a paralegal at the Laurentians-Laval-Lanaudière Community Justice Centre, where she managed files, scheduled appointments, followed up, opened and assigned cases, and provided legal information to users. Her previous experience also includes positions in legal coordination, customer service, and administrative processing, which have strengthened her organizational skills and her ability to maintain structured work environments.
She holds a bachelor's degree in law (UQAM) and is pursuing a master's degree in notarial law at the University of Sherbrooke, in addition to completing a certificate in municipal administration.
